Clear Water Harbor

A short walk from the cottage, Clear Water Harbor is the social heart of the Chain. Waterfront dining, cold drinks, and live music on the deck make it the place to be on a warm summer evening. Head over for the band, stay for the sunset, and wander back to the cottage at your own pace — it's all just around the corner.

The Chief Paddle Boat

Watch The Chief — a classic paddle boat — glide in and out of Clear Water Harbor right from your cottage patio. Or hop aboard for a narrated cruise of the Chain O' Lakes, a beloved Waupaca tradition that's perfect for all ages and a wonderful way to see the lakes from the water.

Wau-King Trail

Lace up and head out on the Wau-King Trail — a scenic recreational path through Waupaca County that's great for walking, running, or biking. The trailhead is within easy reach of the cottage, making it a perfect way to start the morning or wind down the afternoon.

Fishing

The Chain O' Lakes is a premier central Wisconsin fishery, known for walleye, bass, northern pike, and panfish. Cast from the Apricot Cottage dock or head out on the water for a full day of fishing. If you're serious about it, local guides and boat rentals are available nearby.

Pedaling

The cottage's pedal boat is yours to use — and the calm, clear waters of Taylor Lake are made for it. Spend a morning exploring the shoreline or venture further into the Chain. The interconnected lakes offer hours of easy, peaceful paddling with scenery around every bend.
